A 53-metre cascade in Hakusan National Park, accessible by a short trail through cryptomeria forest. The water falls into a jade-green pool and feeds the hot spring below. Quiet even in September, and almost certainly just yours if you walk there.

  3. 3 Myozenji Temple Landmark Sep 28
    Myozenji Temple
    β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜… Hilma's pick

A gassho-style Buddhist temple at the southern edge of Ogimachi with a garden that frames the valley perfectly. Visit in the late afternoon and watch the lamps come on across the village as the sun leaves the Shogawa.
